Go (golang) End of Life

Go does not publish explicit end-of-life dates. The support end dates shown here are derived from the official release policy and the actual release dates, not declared by Google. All derived values are marked with medium confidence and include their rationale.

The policy states that each major release is supported until there are two newer major releases. Since Go ships a major release roughly every six months, the effective support window is about one year — considerably shorter than most language runtimes, and a point often missed when planning upgrades.

Because the end date is an event ("the release after next") rather than a calendar date, it shifts if a release slips. For currently supported versions no fixed date can be given; this is a property of Go's policy, not missing data.
